Frequently asked questions

Questions people ask before they begin.

Who is The Grove for?
The Grove is for people who are motivated to grow and want to approach their experience thoughtfully, with meaningful support before and after. Many of our clients are executives, high performers, or people in demanding careers, but you don't need to fit a particular mold to work with us.
Do I need prior experience with psychedelics?
No. Many of our clients are approaching this work for the first time. Our preparation is designed to help you understand what to expect, clarify your intentions, and arrive feeling prepared and supported.
Do I need to have a retreat booked before contacting The Grove?
No. If you already have a retreat planned, we can provide preparation, integration, or Wrap Around support. If you don't, our Full Journey Support coordinates the experience from preparation through retreat and integration.
Does The Grove provide the retreat itself?
The Grove provides the preparation, integration, support, and coordination surrounding your experience. Retreats and facilitation are provided by carefully selected retreat partners and professionals who are appropriately qualified for the roles they perform.
How far in advance should I reach out?
Earlier is better. For Full Journey Support, we recommend reaching out approximately 10–12 weeks before your desired retreat window to allow enough time for preparation, screening, scheduling, and coordination. If your retreat is sooner, reach out and we'll determine what's possible.
How much time should I plan to take off work?
For Full Journey Support, plan for the retreat itself plus travel time. We also encourage giving yourself a day or two after you return to rest, reflect, and ease back in rather than jumping straight back into work.
What if I take prescription medication?
Taking medication doesn't automatically prevent you from participating, but some medications and health considerations may affect whether or how a retreat should move forward. Your retreat provider is responsible for readiness and safety screening and will review these considerations with you. Never change or discontinue a prescribed medication without guidance from your prescribing clinician.
How is readiness and safety screening handled?
Every retreat experience requires appropriate readiness and safety screening. For Full Journey Support, we coordinate this process with your retreat provider. If you've selected your own retreat, screening is completed by that provider according to their requirements.
Is my information kept private?
Yes. What you share with The Grove through intake, sessions, and written materials is treated as confidential. We do not share your participation or the details of your work outside The Grove without your permission.
